Tulip ‘Little Beauty’ and Tulip ‘Little Princess’
Planted on our Scree Garden, specie tulips create a spectacular slash of colour during April. Two cultivars in particular unfurl their flowers as the sun shines on this sunny landscape. Native of Turkey, these two dwarf species T. ‘Little Beauty’ (Vivid rosy-purple with deep blue centre edged white) and T. ‘Little Princess’ (deep orange with a black centre edged with a fine yellow line) and only growing to 10 cm (4in) high, appear each year to give a month long succession of flowers. Unlike many of the taller growing Tulips these two can be relied upon to last for several years.
