Raised by Georg Arends of Ronsdorf Germany in 1920.
A japonica hybrid.
An attractive low growing early flowing form which is paler than some of the other japonica hybrids so is not as popular as the redder forms.
Is not very vigorous but is worthy of a place in the garden.
Has been used for forcing for the pot plant industry in Germany and Holland.
