It is surprising although very encouraging that a relatively young garden like Marwood Hill should have some of the biggest trees in Britain and Ireland or Champion Trees as they are now known. In fact we have twenty two at present. These together with several others in the garden were measured in the Summer of 2006 and found to be the biggest. Of course, it is expected that Magnolia Marwood Spring would be one of them having originated at Marwood, but there are several Eucalyptus and many other rare trees in the collection.
